This exhibition, with Sylvie Buisson, a world-leading Foujita scholar, expert, and catalogue raisonné author as commissioner and curator, surveys the entirety of Foujita's life through the seven "passions" he nurtured deep inside him since childhood, which were: himself; sky; the avant-garde; East and West; the woman; children; and Angels and Paradise. Works loaned from collections throughout France, in particular, receive long-overdue spotlight to cast new light on Foujita's oeuvre from the perspectives of Foujita studies conducted in France.

Under the Japanese art-historical supervision of Midori Yanai, this exhibition also looks at Foujita's artistic legacies in Japan through the works of Japanese artists whose passions were encouraged by what they learned and inherited from Foujita in Paris. Artists included are Riichiro Kawashima, Kinosuke Ebihara, Shikanosuke Oka, Seiji Togo, Miçao Kono, Takeshi Takasaki, Toshio Bando, Tadashi Koyanagi, and Yasukazu Tabuchi.
